Bee Adoption

Wild West Honey is dedicated to the preservation of our environment through the pesticide-free removal of honeybees from homes and buildings, and the relocation of honeybees to our wild bee farms in and around the pristine Santa Monica Mountain Range along the California coast. Our mission is to preserve these pollinators in our local communities and provide you with the most natural and nutritious wild honey on the planet.

But bee adoption programs are about much more than good honey. We owe more than a third of all the food we grow on this planet to bees and other pollinators—as they move pollen and seeds from one plant to another bees and their ilk fertilize almost everything they touch. If we lose them, we lose everything from cucumbers to cashews. And according to recent research from the USDA, our bees are at risk. Truly, the apiary population has plummeted 40 percent in the last decade. There are various reasons why. For one thing, there are new bee predators, like the terrifyingly named varroa destructor mite. Heavy pesticide use and the global rise of monolithic crops have also taken their tolls.
